McAllen ISD police department has learned that the male juvenile, who lives out of state, admitted to making the post as a joke. He has no ties to McAllen ISD. He admitted to randomly picking those schools through a Google search. The suspect is currently in police custody. No credible threat.
We ensure our McAllen ISD community that we take these sorts of threats and social media posts seriously. Charges will be pressed on any sort of threats. Local and agencies take these posts seriously and fully investigate.
